- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="aenm201570081-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>One of the major challenges in Li‐ion batteries is to reduce the internal resistance, which would enable faster (dis)charging and higher energy densities. In article number 1500498, Marnix Wagemaker and co‐workers report that through the interaction of thermal neutrons with Li, operando neutron depth profiling allows observation of Li‐concentration profiles in Li‐ion electrodes, thereby revealing what charge transport processes limit the internal resistance under what conditions.
