- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Single crystals of Bu<sub>4</sub>N [(Bi(dmso)<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>V<sub>12</sub>O<sub>33</sub>X] ·xDMSO (X: Cl (I), Br (II)) are prepared by dissolving (Bu<sub>4</sub>N)<sub>3</sub>[H<sub>3</sub>V<sub>10</sub>O<sub>28</sub>], Bi(NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>, and NaX in aqueous DMSO at 80 °C followed by addition of Bu<sub>4</sub>NOH (80 °C, 1 h, 67 and 71% yield, resp.).</p> </abstract>
