<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The compounds M<sub>2</sub>USi<sub>6</sub>O<sub>15</sub> (M: K, Rb, Cs) are prepared in 61, 29, and 37% yield, resp., by layering a mixture of UO<sub>2</sub> and SiO<sub>2</sub> under a MF/MCl mixture that acts as a flux (copper tube, N<sub>2</sub> flow, 900 °C, 12 h).</p> </abstract>
