<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1zkbkdck" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />A close-packed monolayer composed of (111)-orientated Pt nanocrystals was fabricated on reduced graphene oxide, exhibiting excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability towards methanol oxidation, ~3 times better mass activity than the commercial Pt/C.</p> </abstract>
