- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The protic anions [H(B<sub>12</sub>X<sub>12</sub>)]<sup>‐</sup> (X: F, Cl, Br, I) are investigated with respect to their ability to protonate neutral molecules in the gas phase by using a combination of tandem mass spectrometry and quantum‐chemical calculations.</p> </abstract>
