Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A_xB_yO_z‐type complex oxides with multiple cations show different chemical ordering for the cations at the A and B sites. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 7963 ff., </ext-link> S.‐Y. Chung et al. report the configurational ordering in an AB₂O₄ spinel by the formation of Frenkel defects at octahedral sites as a transient state.
