<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1018jg21" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />A quadruply-stranded dipalladium(<sc>ii</sc>) helicate exhibits low micromolar IC₅₀ values against a range of different cancer cell lines. Preliminary mechanistic studies indicate that the helicate induces cell death by disrupting the cell membrane.</p> </abstract>
