<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="ab0010"> <title id="st0010">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="sp0010"> <list id="ulist0010"> <list-item id="u0010"> <label></label> <p id="p0010">We examined the attitudes and perceptions of paramedic professionalism among students studying at three universities in Australia and New Zealand.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u0015"> <label></label> <p id="p0015">A number of statistically significant differences were found between universities, courses, year levels, and gender on professionalism that provide important data in an area of limited body of knowledge.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u0020"> <label></label> <p id="p0020">Paramedic students have the potential to be the next agents of change in the professionalisation of the paramedic discipline.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
