<abstract xml:lang="en" abstract-type="author-highlights" id="ab005"> <title id="st100">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="sp0005"> <list id="l0005"> <list-item id="o0005"> <label></label> <p id="p0205">The ability of robotic-assisted step training (RAST) to reduce neuromuscular abnormalities associated with spasticity was determined.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0010"> <label></label> <p id="p0210">RAST reduced the abnormalities in both stiffness magnitude and modulation with position, proportional to the initial level of abnormality.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0015"> <label></label> <p id="p0215">These techniques can be used to predict the therapeutic effects of different interventions on neuromuscular abnormalities.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
