<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">Some children may not receive pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) as infants.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">PCV13 was evaluated in pneumococcal vaccine-naïve children aged 7 months to 5 years.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">Age-specific "catch-up" vaccination schedules were evaluated.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">The proportion of immunological responders ranged from 88% to 100% for all 13 serotypes.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0025"> <label></label> <p id="par0025">PCV13 was generally well-tolerated; trend for greater tenderness in older subjects.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
