<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj105973zf" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Tri-<italic>n</italic>-butylammonium trichloroacetate (<bold>TBAT</bold>), a novel hybrid material, undergoes a reversible phase transition around 196 K, which is triggered by torsion in the cations and the order–disorder transformations of both ions.</p> </abstract>
