- <abstract xml:lang="en" abstract-type="author-highlights" id="ab005"> <title id="st005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="sp0005"> <list id="l0005"> <list-item id="o0005"> <label></label> <p id="p0005">Data were gathered from 15 trials evaluating neoadjuvant paclitaxel and docetaxel for HER2-positive breast cancer.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0010"> <label></label> <p id="p0010">Neoadjuvant paclitaxel determines a slight significant benefit in terms of pCR in comparison with docetaxel.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0015"> <label></label> <p id="p0015">Docetaxel significantly increases severe and febrile neutropenia, while paclitaxel slightly worsens neurotoxicity.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0020"> <label></label> <p id="p0020">Overall, the benefit/risk analysis balancing activity (pCR) with toxicity (severe neutropenia) supports to use paclitaxel.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0025"> <label></label> <p id="p0025">The non-prospective nature of the analysis and its heterogeneity may limit the interpretation of the results.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
