<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">mAb 4C13 could recognize and bind to RTA, RTB and exert its high affinity to the holotoxin.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">By intravenous injection, mAb 4C13 could rescue the mouse intraperitoneal (ip) injected with a lethal dose of ricin even at 6 h after the intoxication.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">The potent antitoxic efficiency of 4C13 was related to its recognition on the specific epitope with very high affinity and its blockage of protein synthesis inhibition in cytoplasm followed by cellular internalization with ricin.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
