- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adom201500034-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A surface acoustic wave (SAW)</bold> is shown to effectively and reversibly modulate the photoluminescence in quasi‐2D MoS<sub>2</sub>. This technique does not result in any structural or compositional change, which suggests the tremendous potential of integrating 2D materials on to SAW platforms for designing controllable, state‐of‐the‐art optoelectronic systems. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj22cdn7rx" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
