<abstract> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <sec> <title>Abstract</title> <p>An increasing number of patients with psychological conditions with or without drug regimens are seeking orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery to address jaws dysmorphology. Depression and bipolar affective disorders are relatively common. These disorders may interfere with the presurgical orthodontics, surgical intervention and postsurgical treatments and thus requires careful considerations. The aim of this article is to report of a case with bipolar disorder and review the orthodontics and orthognathic surgery considerations of patients with bipolar disorder.</p> </sec> </abstract>
