<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1xv5zxcb" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />The preparation, characterization and properties of a series of 8-hydroxy quinolinolate complexes of Ti(<sc>iv</sc>), Al(<sc>iii</sc>) and Zn(<sc>ii</sc>) are presented. The complexes are active initiators for rac-lactide polymerizations: their performances are compared.</p> </abstract>
