- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1xv5gtvr" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />The introduced Zn<sup>2+</sup> ions first exist as O–Zn–Cl species on the surface of TiO<sub>2</sub>. With the increase in calcination temperature, the O–Zn–Cl species would transform into ZnTiO<sub>3</sub>, which would induce the formation of rutile, resulting in a decrease in the temperature for phase transition.</p> </abstract>
