<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="smll201570159-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Assisted by microwave heating, a fast, one‐step approach is developed by H. He and co‐workers on page 3358 for the controllable fabrication of holey graphene oxide sheets (HGO) directly from graphite powder. These HGO sheets can be simultaneously reduced and doped with heteroatoms quickly and at low temperatures. The existence of the nanoholes not only provides a shortcut for efficient mass transport, but also dramatically increases the amount of edges and accessible surface area, creating more effective catalytic centers. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1smt7pd7" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
