- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201570179-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Single‐crystalline grains and grain boundaries in an as‐grown molybdenum disulfide monolayer are visualized by second‐harmonic‐generation microscopy. Further statistical analysis reveals that the boundary formation is driven by kinetics, rather than energetics. The method and derived growth mechanism described on page 4069 by S. W.
