Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Metalations of</bold>­ <italic><bold>meso</bold></italic><bold>‐aryl‐substituted rubyrin</bold> with Co^II, Rh^I, and Ir^III give non‐twisted Hückel conformations, as shown by T. Soya and A. Osuka in their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 10639 ff.</ext-link> The bis‐Co^II complex displays antiaromatic character, whereas the bis‐Rh^I complex and mono‐Ir^III complexes exhibit aromatic characters, despite their highly distorted conjugated networks.
