Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <sec id="psr12004-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <p>Central to Philippe Van Parijs' recent text, <italic>Linguistic Justice for Europe and for the World</italic>, are claims that the emergence of English as a global lingua franca is (1) inevitable, (2) necessary for transnational justice and (3) to be accelerated.
