<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <sec id="jocs12573-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <p>Traumatic aortic injury is a rare but potentially lethal condition. Those few patients who survive the acute phase of injury usually progress to form a chronic aneurysm. Few guidelines exist on the management of chronic traumatic aortic aneurysms.
