- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Tm<sup>3+</sup>, Yb<sup>3+</sup> co‐doped Na<sub>2</sub>Y<sub>2</sub>B<sub>2</sub>O<sub>7</sub> with an average crystallite size of 18‐20 nm is prepared by solution combustion of a stoichiometric mixture of Y<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, H<sub>3</sub>BO<sub>3</sub>, Na<sub>2</sub>CO<sub>3</sub>, Tm<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, and Yb<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> in conc.</p> </abstract>
