- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1c7v82kh" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Ni<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> nanoparticles of various sizes (25.8 to 49.7 nm), obtained by a facile oxidation process using Ni(NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>·6H<sub>2</sub>O and alkaline NaOCl as precursor at various temperatures (0, 25, 50 and 70 °C), are found to remove toxic Cr(<sc>vi</sc>) from aqueous solution.</p> </abstract>
