<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>On the cover</bold>: Seeing is believing. The believability factor for complex multicolor flow or mass cytometry data is always defined by how the results are analyzed and presented, with advanced visualization techniques providing more information than traditionally used scatter plots. The cover of this Special Issue "Computational Analysis of Flow Cytometry Data" presents SOM results for flow cytometry data generated by the use of a new visualization algorithm "FlowSOM".
