<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj148v3djg" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />The colorimetric fiber sensor reported in this study shows excellent selectivity and sensitivity towards Hg²⁺ over other common metal ions and can be repeatedly used more than 50 times.</p> </abstract>
