<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201500835-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A new type of shape‐memory polymer (SMP)</bold> is developed by integrating scientific principles drawn from two disparate fields: the fast‐growing photonic crystal and SMP technologies.
