<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="admi201570042-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Nano‐sized patterns of condensed water droplets—breath figures—are used as a template to produce arrays of hollow silica half‐nanospheres. In article 1500078, P. M. Beaujuge and co‐workers describe how the selective hydrolysis of a silica precursor at the air/water droplet interface can be used to produce a thin shell of oxide that traps the water droplets. Removing the water contents by evaporation in vacuo yields tunable arrays of half‐nanospheres.</p> <p>The authors acknowledge Ivan D.
