- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj1058cmhh" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />We report a molecular dynamics simulation demonstrating that a columnar liquid crystal, commonly formed by disc-shaped molecules, can be formed by identical particles interacting <italic>via</italic> a spherically symmetric potential.</p> </abstract>
