- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="advs201500031-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>An air‐stable copper‐based P2‐Na<sub>7/9</sub>Cu<sub>2/9</sub>Fe<sub>1/9</sub>Mn<sub>2/3</sub>O<sub>2</sub></bold> is designed and synthesized by a simple solid‐state method and investigated as a positive electrode material for sodium‐ion batteries. The attractive long cycling stability is demonstrated by the capacity retention of 85% after 150 cycles at 1 C rate without phase transformation. The reversible Cu<sup>2+</sup>/Cu<sup>3+</sup> redox couple in P2 phase oxides is proved for the first time. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjzsj8f10" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
