Abstract

<abstract> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <sec> <p>Osteonecrosis of the distal tibial metaphysis following a Salter–Harris type-2 injury is a rare complication with no previous reports in the literature. We report a case of osteonecrosis of the metaphysis in distal tibia, confirmed radiologically and histologically. The natural history was followed with serial MRI scans and we comment on the possible pathophysiology.</p> </sec> </abstract>
