<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="smll201401954-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Anisotropic Fe₃O₄ octahedrons</bold> are obtained via a simple solvothermal synthesis with appropriate sizes for various technological applications.
