Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjqwn6jsw" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />TiO₂:C superlattices with ultra-low thermal conductivity are fabricated from atomic/molecular layer deposited (ALD/MLD) inorganic–organic [(TiO₂)_{<italic>m</italic>}(Ti–O–C₆H₄–O–)_{<italic>k</italic>=1}]_{<italic>n</italic>} thin films <italic>via</italic> an annealing treatment that converts the as-deposited monomolecular organic layers into sub-nanometer-thick graphitic layers confined within the TiO₂ matrix.</p> </abstract>
