<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjqwgvw3t" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Single crystals of K₄CaUSi₄O₁₄ have been grown from a eutectic CaF₂–KF flux. K₄CaUSi₄O₁₄ crystallizes in a new structure which is a member of a family of compounds related to the mineral fresnoite.</p> </abstract>
