-
<title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title>
<p>This project describes the effect of an interprofessional experience (IPE). A pre-/posttest design used a validated questionnaire with subsequent analysis with 2-tailed paired-sample t tests. Qualitative analysis was used to assess student reflections. After the IPE, there was a significant increase in perceptions toward effectiveness of the health care team, ability to problem-solve, and increased clinical skills (P ⩽ .05). There was a significant increase in support of active learning experiences to be shared with other students and for understanding the roles of other professions (P ⩽ .05). Qualitative analysis of student reflections provided rich perceptions for professional roles. The IPE simulation increased an understanding of the professions and self-efficacy and provided a learning experience with the potential to impact patient care.</p>
