<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjp09smk1" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Two phosphorescent complexes [Ir(<italic>o</italic>-CHOppy)(PPh₃)₂(H)Cl] (<bold>1</bold>) and [Ir(ppy)(PPh₃)₂(H)Cl] (<bold>2</bold>) exhibiting 'aggregation induced phosphorescent emission (AIPE)' properties have been found to be very sensitive to the detection of picric acid (PA).</p> </abstract>
