- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="smll201570115-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The synthesis of 3D ordered macroporous (3DOM) Ce<sub>0.6</sub>Zr<sub>0.3</sub>Y<sub>0.1</sub>O<sub>2</sub> (CZY) is demonstrated by H. Arandiyan, H. Dai, J. Li, and co‐workers on page 2366. The 3DOM CZY has mesoporous walls and a high surface area, and incorporates a high dispersion of platinum nanoparticles. A sample with 1.1 wt% Pt shows supercatalytic activity for methane combustion, which is attributed to its larger surface area, higher oxygen adspecies concentration, better low‐temperature reducibility, and the unique 3DOM structure. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjng6695k" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
