<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjn2s04zv" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />In the presence of a bulky N-heterocyclic carbene, Zn(HMDS)₂ can be converted in to either a mononuclear amido/hydride complex or a tetranuclear hydride rich cluster depending on the hydride source and reaction conditions employed.</p> </abstract>
