<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjn2jzjvr" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />A colloid larger than a critical size may act as a passive trap for microswimmers. We address the critical trapping radius, the basin of attraction, the scattering angle for sub-critical colloid sizes, and the effects of Brownian fluctuations.</p> </abstract>
