<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Zr<sub>2+x</sub>PTe<sub>2</sub> (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.5) is synthesized by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of the elements (evacuated silica ampules, 650 °C, 48 h) and characterized by powder XRD and thermogravimetric measurements.</p> </abstract>
