Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <italic> <bold>Shrouded in mystery</bold> </italic>, the interface structure of ionic liquids is unclear despite their popularity for electrochemical applications. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 6062 ff., </ext-link> O. M. Magnussen et al. address the molecular arrangement and sub‐second dynamics of these iconic compounds on gold electrodes by high‐speed tunneling microscopy.
