Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="aenm201401426-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A bis‐azide‐based small molecule cross­linker</bold> is synthesized and evaluated as both a stabilizing and efficiency‐boosting additive in bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaic cells. Activated by a non­invasive and scalable solution processing technique, polymer:fullerene blends exhibit improved thermal stability with suppressed polymer skin formation at the cathode and frustrated fullerene aggregation on ageing, with initial efficiency increased from 6% to 7%. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjkt5z0pj" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
