<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">We argue for a new conceptualization and measurement of country risk and introduce a new tool, the Robinson Country Risk Index.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">Within its holistic GEOS macrostructure, the RCRI encompasses 70 sub-dimensions, 273 variables, 126 countries, and, at present, 8 years of data.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">The RCRI's unique conceptualization, multifaceted goals, and embedded functionalities offer advantages over other risk indexes and help craft new forms of value.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">The RCRI provides a dynamic new instrument for educators, researchers, and practitioners, as well as an alternative measure of country development.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
