Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="absh001a"> <title id="sectt0001a">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spara0001a"> <list id="celist0001a"> <list-item id="celistitem0005a"> <label></label> <p id="para0001a">A non-invasive and non-radiological vibrational method was proposed to analyze the fixation of total hip endoprostheses.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="celistitem0006a"> <label></label> <p id="para0002a">For excitation, an innovative approach using extracorporeal shockwaves was assessed.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="celistitem0007a"> <label></label> <p id="para0003a">The results showed an interrelation between the state of loosening of the implant and the resonance frequency of the bone-implant compound.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="celistitem0008a"> <label></label> <p id="para0004a">With this technique the degree of stem loosening could be determined in a soft tissue considering configuration.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
