<abstract xml:lang="en" abstract-type="author-highlights" id="ab005"> <title id="st050">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="sp0005"> <list id="l0005"> <list-item id="o0005"> <label></label> <p id="p0105">We study the storm time TEC variation at four mid latitudes in both hemispheres.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0010"> <label></label> <p id="p0110">TEC variation reveals a clear hemispheric and seasonal asymmetries during storm events.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0015"> <label></label> <p id="p0115">TEC variation also reveals latitudinal dependence within the mid-latitude region.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="o0020"> <label></label> <p id="p0120">Different mechanisms have been used to explain our observations.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
