<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">Ninety-four percent of the Y-TZP FPDs evaluated performed satisfactorily.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">The survival rate of the Y-TZP FPDs was within the same range as for metal–ceramic FPDs.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">For plaque and bleeding no significant differences were seen compared with the controls.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">Based on a visual analog scale patient satisfaction with the evaluated FPDs was high.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
