<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0075"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">We evaluated the safety and preliminary efficacy of AZD1480 in patients with myelofibrosis.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">AZD1480 was generally well tolerated, but caused low-grade neurological toxicity.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">Four patients showed evidence of clinical improvement.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">The neurological effects were considered unacceptable and the study was terminated.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
