<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">Immune responses of infants were assessed 1 month after the national UK schedule.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">Infants could receive any of three meningococcal C conjugate vaccines at 3 and 4 months.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">Responses were lower after CRM-conjugated followed by tetanus-conjugated MenC vaccine.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">Conjugate vaccines with different carrier proteins may not be interchangeable.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0025"> <label></label> <p id="par0025">When possible children should receive conjugate vaccines with the same carrier protein.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
