<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">This is the first report on parallel FISH and IHC screening for ALK, MET and ROS1.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">Concordant results for ALK IHC and ALK FISH were seen in all cases.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">MET FISH and IHC showed discordant results in 10.0% of cases.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">MET overexpression can occur in ALK rearranged tumors.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0025"> <label></label> <p id="par0025">Besides rearrangements, ROS1 amplifications can also occur in NSCLCs.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
