- <abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="ab0010"> <title id="st0010">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="sp0010"> <list id="ulist0010"> <list-item id="u0010"> <label></label> <p id="p0010">microRNA-155 is an oncogenic miRNA involved in various types of tumors.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u0015"> <label></label> <p id="p0015">Bioinformatic analysis and metabolic-profiling data revealed a positive correlation between miR-155 and thiamine level.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u0020"> <label></label> <p id="p0020">We found that miR-155 regulates thiamine metabolism through SLC19A2, SLC25A19, and TPK1 genes.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u0025"> <label></label> <p id="p0025">We found a positive correlation between miR-155 and thiamine level in triple negative breast cancer.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u0030"> <label></label> <p id="p0030">Our findings suggest that miR-155 plays a crucial role in breast cancer metabolism.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
